Our Medical Control protocol allows our providers in the field to have a direct 24/7 consult with another provider. Through the use of advanced communication systems including satellite phones, secure servers and digital images we are able to utilize current telemedicine technology to provide the best patient care in any location, worldwide.
Operating under pre-set medical standing orders, our field providers are able to diagnose and initiate treatment of emergency conditions as well as chronic illness. Consult with our medical control physicians ensures a “second opinion” on cases and facilitates the best patient care possible. Adventure Doc Physicians are able to consult specialists such as infectious disease, traumatology, radiology and cardiology. Adventure Doc paramedics are able to consult board-certified physicians who can then involve additional specialist as needed.
